Pictou County

The Pictou County office has built deep ties to the communities it serves by consistently showing up. Since its founding in 1960, that presence has taken many forms: fueling community-rooted programs like the annual Toy Drive, Backpacks for Kids, and Golf Fore Change; taking an active role in the nonprofit sector as a member of Pictou County Partners for Children & Youth, a network of close to 50 organizations; and employing caring staff who volunteer on boards addressing housing affordability and community wellbeing. Our Pictou County office is proof that thriving communities are built by being present in them.

Karma Closet

Students at Northumberland Regional High School in Nova Scotia’s Pictou County get excited about lunch time. For nearly 200 students, lunch time means they get to take advantage of the Karma Closet free lunch program, with tasty and nutritious meals – and a side serving of learning.
