GenNext

GenNext is a social impact movement for people to create meaningful, local change and build connections by combining philanthropy and fun. Powered by United Way and shaped by its members, we're on a mission to inspire and enable the next generation of social change makers to fuel 100% local impact across our region.

At our core we're passionate about helping others.

We lead with our hearts and make a difference with our actions. Whether you're a long-time local activist or a recent grad  looking to get involved with your community, GenNext is where you can:

Connect

with people and organizations who want to make a difference, through our networking events.

Learn

about the unique challenges facing our region, and what you can do to make a meaningful, lasting impact.

Support

our communities by donating to help us tackle the root issues behind our causes.

We take great pride in where we live, work, and play. We know you do too.

It's this local love that fuels our efforts to tackle the toughest social issues.

United Way works with local partners, government, community organizations and donors to build strong, healthy, safe communities for all — and our Saint John, Kings and Charlotte office remains at the heart of that work in this region.

GenNext is your connection to it — your voice on the causes you care about. By bringing together young leaders, philanthropists, social entrepreneurs, and local creatives, we're improving lives and creating opportunities for the people that need us most.

When you donate to GenNext, you are investing in causes you care about and supporting 100% local initiatives in the Saint John, Kings and Charlotte region that bring about measurable change for our communities' most vulnerable people. We're committed to full transparency, accountability, and cost-efficiency — so you can give with confidence.

How it Works

Each GenNext Cabinet Member commits to a $500 annual donation and to find an individual or company to provide a $500 matching donation. Cabinet Members guide and advise GenNext investments, social event planning, fundraising and more.
