The Quarter Club, powered by the United Way, forms a community of inspiring leaders driving a local movement of people using business as a force for good. The most challenging social problems from Saint John to Sussex to St. Stephen cannot be solved by government and non-profits alone. Quarter Club members work toward a stronger community where kids are safe and successful, families thrive, and our neighbours have dignity and purpose. By harnessing the power of the Club paired with United Way’s rigorous vetting process to support social programs with a real impact, members use profits and growth as a means to a greater end: positive impact for their business, employees and community.
Your Impact
Quarter Club leaders are banding together to make this stop violence against young girls, which our region experiences the highest rate in all of Canada. In partnership with the United Way, we have identified two ways to tackle this problem:
- By investing in solutions that break the cycle of domestic violence.
- Helping everyone have access to the mental health support they need.
Specifically, we are investing in solutions that:
- Support Moms and their kids to permanently leave abusive relationships.
- Ensure individuals and families have access to mental health services.
- Educate youth about healthy relationships.
- Help women maintain their recovery from addiction.
How It Works
Invest $2,500 per year (or $210 a month) for 5 years. United Way manages all financial contributions, receipting, reporting, and accountability — so you say yes once, with confidence, and we handle the rest. Members receive biannual updates and an annual network meeting to discuss local issues and the impact their investment is having. 100% of funds stay in the Saint John, Kings and Charlotte region.
For your business, the Quarter Club offers a bold, brandable commitment to your community, a stronger and more engaged workforce, and a smart charitable giving plan that works for both the company and individual employees. Most of all, you become part of a connected, caring, collaborative network of like-minded business owners who are redefining what success in business looks like.
